Russ is the Director of Operations at GreenWave Scientific and brings decades of experience in product design engineering, high-volume manufacturing, automated equipment design, chemical processing, antenna design, and electronics design & packaging. Mr. Winstead’s recent professional experience includes VP of Manufacturing for Aerius International and VP/co-founder of Apex Technologies, earning Sandia National Labs “Gold Supplier” award in 2004 for volume production of highly specialized parts meeting extremely stringent quality specifications with 100% compliance and on-time delivery. Mr. Winstead also worked 20 years at IBM in Texas and North Carolina- designing, building, and installing high speed placement machines and robotics as a crucial part of the world’s largest circuit board facility in Austin that built nearly all of IBM’s early PCs. Russ also was a key designer of the electronics packaging inside IBM’s ThinkPad notebook computers developed and produced in high volumes at RTP and winning Multiple Industry Awards. Russ earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas, and is the recipient of 10 U.S. Patents with several additional patents pending related to antennas, LED lighting applications, and electroforming and plating processes. |
